Situation

Last night, CDF positions in northeastern Chernarus were overrun by well-equipped NChDKZ insurgents during a blizzard. The rout caused panic among civilians who clogged the roads and were overtaken by insurgent forces.

Coincidentally, last night was also the scheduled departure time for a shipment by the Bank of Chernarus of foreign currency from the major industrial center of Berezino to more secure parts of Chernarus. The trucks departed on schedule, but as of this morning never made it to Elektrozadovsk.

These trucks are presumed to have been lost in the chaos, and the Bank of Chernarus wants the money retrieved before the NChDKZ figure out it's there and use it to finance more terrorism. Theseus' coincidental deployment as part of the forces mobilizing on Utes has allowed us to take this contract in addition to our force protection duties for the NGOs.

Objectives

We are to find the cash trucks carrying foreign currency and bring the money within back to friendly lines. There are three trucks somewhere on the road between Berezino and Elektrozadovsk.

The NChKDZ have made an incursion into the coastal areas of South Zagoria from Elektrozadovsk in the south to as far north as the Russian border. The entire coastline to the north-northeast of Theseus base should be presumed hostile.

While civilians on foot are still arriving after having escaped through the forest, the flow of refugees on the roads has stopped as of this morning, leading Theseus HQ to believe that they have succeeded in cutting off the roads. Large amounts of civilians, however, are believed to be sheltering in place in various towns, making the use of grenades and other antipersonnel weapons in towns inadvisable.

The three cash trucks set out from Berezino last night amid chaotic civilian and military traffic and blizzard conditions. The likelihood that the NChDKZ have identified their contents is low given the large number of other civilian vehicles on the road. The objective vehicles are unmarked parcel trucks, with white cabs and black cargo boxes.

Enemy presence in the area is likely to be substantial. Heavy snow conditions last night prevented any vehicles with ground pressure higher than BTRs from crossing the passes, according to witnesses, but vehicles in the area are likely to respond to our attack along the road. Theseus intel suggests that the NChDKZ will have started to dig in, but will have only had time to set up temporary positions.
