Situation

Rising tensions between the US and China have reached a boiling point in the Mediterranean of all places. A carrier strike group led by the Peoples Liberation Army Navy Fujian has delivered a surprise strike against US forces on Altis and have seized the main airfield. The US is preparing a massive response. Carrier Strike Group 12, headed by the U.S.S. Gerald R. Ford, and accompanied by the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit are enroute. The US has requested Theseus to retake the airfield to allow a easier reoccupation of Altis by US forces, and enable CSG-12 to focus on finding and sinking the Fujian. Due to the US's need to retake the airfield, and save face, they have authorized Theseus to utilize any and all US equipment left behind on Altis, that being said, to the south of our deployment area is a possible stockpile of assets and to the north west of the airfield is a suspected AA site.
