Chapter VII

Situation

A long defunct signal beacon provided to a scout team has recently become active again, our employer desperately wants to know if this means that the team are alive after almost a year of assuming KIA. The original 8 members of the team may all be dead, but we have to find out.

The signal is coming from somewhere inside Naqel, unfortunately this is also where the Taliban have setup a steady anti-air line to prevent anyone approaching from the west. The Taliban also recently had a new force arrive in the area and appear to be working alongside the Taliban and Seven Rings forces, it is unclear who these are or why they are here.

We have been tasked with entering Naqel, destroying the AA line along the western ridge, locating the source of the signal and attempt to find out who exactly the heavily armed newcomers in Naqel may be.

• One of the mortar crew have given semi-accurate locations for the AA emplacements.
• The new forces in Naqel have Stomper Drones and at least 2 BTR-80s.
• Your LZ should be somewhere South-East of Naqel, move in on foot.
