Situation

With the CDF offensive rolling despite heavy low-level smoke and crippled light conditions, Theseus is moving on Devil's Castle. Using the distraction our unit, CDF Rapid Assault Section “Frost Talon” prepares to infiltrate through the woodlands north of Devil’s Castle to raid Petrovka and cripple the NChDKZ remnants sheltering their comms and rocket assets.

Objectives

Infiltrate from the northern woodland corridor, strike into Petrovka, and neutralize the enemy’s ability to coordinate and deliver fires before they can hinder the offensive.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES
  • Search and sabotage the main communications unit (reported antenna setups and relay equipment).
  • Neutralize enemy firepower capability near Petrovka (destroy launch capability and/or associated ammunition caches, exact type and location is unknown, look for possible intels)
  • Mop up Petrovka as thoroughly as possible (clear houses and key structures).
SECONDARY OBJECTIVES
  • Rescue critically wounded civilians if any.
  • Capture high-value staff/officer(s).

Enemy elements are dug in and likely desperate. Expect them to hold Petrovka rather than relocate comms or rocket assets unless absolutely necessary. Reinforcement attempts are most probable from the Southeast, but as fighting continues around Devil’s Castle and Grishino, routed NChDKZ remnants may drift in from the southwest road seeking refuge and will not hesitate to join the defendending NChDKZ units.

After action report: 

The CDF Rapid Assault Section, the Frost Talon, assaulted the town of Petrovka, eliminating all insurgents. The wounded civilian population was extracted, along with a high value soldier and a second POW. The communications array and the command center were destroyed in town. Intel led the Frost Talon to the secondary encampment North of town where the remaining enemy were eliminated along with multiple rocket vehicles and logistics vehicles. Four Frost Talon were lost during the exfil to a lone, committed enemy.
