Triple A - Part Deux
Chernarus Defence Forces
Situation
Yesterday, Theseus forces pushed into the town of Gorka in the South Zagorian interior where they captured the town and the abandoned ZSU-23-4 after an intense firefight, but were unable to push out of the town. Support elements have arrived and made our assault group ready for the next phase of the mission: moving through the South Zagorian interior to FOB 'Svoboda' in order to aid the CDF's counterinsurgency strategy.
Support elements worked through the night to make sure that we were able to move at first light.

Overnight, Theseus secured the town of Gorka and no incursion occurred. However, it is certain that NChDKZ is aware of our presence and has spent the night preparing to contest our obvious objective to push to COP 'Svoboda'. The COP has reported that it has taken sporadic contact from the nearby town of Gvozdno since yesterday afternoon, but has been unable to retailiate as we were to serve as their infantry element and the air defense company's ordnance would cause too much damage to civilian buildings.
Thanks to our intact recovery vehicle and additional supplies that arrived overnight, we were able to recover and patch our disabled Namer APC, which is now in working condition. The ZSU-23-4 is also gassed up and repaired, but the guns remain inoperative as their supplies are with the air defense company at the COP.
The area we need to cross has two main routes that can be taken. The western route is more direct but hilly, and armored vehicles will go upslope only slowly. There is an eastern route that is flatter, but significantly longer.
Our employers' forces in COP Svoboda are there mainly to provide defensive capabilities. No CDF forces in the COP will be able to support us during this operation unless enemies appear immediately outside of the outpost itself.
Refer to campaign ASCOPE for further information on combatants.
