Situation

Theseus has been contracted by the UN to extract their 4 man Recon team out of Aliabad, all communications have been spotty and nonsensical.

From the minimal communications provided by the UN it seems like members of the recon team are wanting to rendezvous with us inside the village of Abad to the East. Once we arrive we may have to wait until they arrive.

We are to exercise caution as we do not know what happened, while being prepared for literally anything.

After action report: 

Half of the UN Recon Patrol turned traitor, murdering one of their own while the other escaped. We met with the survivor in Abad and followed the intel trail to the town of Wolak, where we encountered the two traitors and a glowing sentient orb of light, the true form of the Narrator, which called itself "The Voice". We were then beset upon by hundreds of local hired guns, and after fighting them off, we seized the The Voice and brought it back with us, along with the bodies of the UN Recon troops, to the extraction point.
