Situation

Tensions have risen on the island of Malden recently, a research facility in Russia owned by CSAT R/D was targeted by a heavily armed, unknown mercenary group, after leaving with the stolen equipment they fled to Malden, where CSAT cannot follow.

CSAT and NATO have come to an agreement that CSAT can send one of it's Viper teams to await collection of any stolen assets that can be recovered, with a NATO Recon team nearby to ensure they do not leave the airport.

Theseus was recommended by the NATO representatives for work done in the past to recover these assets and hand them directly to the CSAT team waiting at the airport. We have been instructed not to hand these assets over to NATO or leave them behind as the agreement stipulates that NATO cannot have any part in this whatsoever.

If we fail CSAT have made it extremely clear that they will be moving to take these assets back whether they have permission to or not.

CSAT haven't been exactly clear what we are looking for so the assumption is it will be either very obvious or weapons. No matter what it is we have been instructed not to utilise any assets we find belonging to CSAT.

Whatever it is we're looking for was emitting a tracking signal, it came back to 2 locations within La Trinite, a set of warehouses and a small villa.

After action report: 

Theseus were recruited by NATO to recover stolen CSAT assets by an unknown mercenary group as CSAT could not encroach onto the territory themselves. Moving out, contractors had a short joy ride up to the town of La Trinite where, shortly after dismounting at VRP, they encountered ranged contact from an outside patrol.

After the patrol was dispatched, Ares teams split heading towards their own directives given by Actual. Ares 1 quickly was taken in the rear by a weasel on wheels and sadly lost a contractor to it having the autocannon plaster his upper half. Quick reaction from AT units, though, dispatched the weasel immediately. Continuing on with their directives, Ares units cleared a warehouse and Villa to uncover stolen weapon and ammo caches along with intel leading to a tanker truck filled with nerve gas South of Larche.

Heading to the town of Larche, the tanker was located in a warehouse with no threats. However, immediately mercenaries assaulted from the high Southern mountain range and technicals raced in through the town from the North. Quick and efficient weapons handling from contractors, eliminated the opposing threat and were able to recover the tanker and all stolen assets returning them to FOB to hand off to a CSAT viper team with no further incident.
