Situation

The Republic of Duala is now the only remaining source of legitimate diamonds left in the world. With the new found wealth from the distribution of diamonds worldwide a schism erupted between the Government and the Armed forces.

President Mosi Okiro has welcomed western companies to expand mining operations and the country began flourishing. Commander Shomari Akunyili, head of the armed forces initiated a coup with the belief that the country will fall to a western invasion without expanding military funding exponentially.

With the coup underway President Okiro moved all key members of Government and their families to Camara. The island is the main source of diamonds from the country. In exchange for rights to some of the mines Vrana Industries offered the help of ION PMC.

ION have taken up positions strategically around the island to fend off the army and protect their investment. While the remaining loyalist forces are dwindling to the north, President Okiro has negotiated a contract with ION to deploy a significantly larger force with the intent of taking back the island.

Theseus has been contracted to provide mission and logistics support alongside ION who will take the core part of the fighting. Theseus will be taking on key missions to hinder the enemy at every opportunity.

Until the bulk of ION forces arrive, the only real threat to Camara island is Airport Kinsella, which houses the majority of the fighting aircraft for Duala along with a company of soldiers. (~80-250 men). This airport will prevent any attempt at establishing a substantial ION presence in the region.

Objectives

Theseus has been tasked with a frontal assault to the airfield while ION provide artillery cover. ION will fire 3 separate barrages of 32 rounds, 24 rounds and 16 rounds targeting indiscriminately across the airfield. Once the barrages have ended ION will give the all clear to assault.

Primary Objectives

• Prevent any enemy aircraft from lifting off.
• Seize the airfield.
