Operations Contract - The Woodsman

Contract Type:
Contract
Date:
Saturday, June 18, 2016 - 14:00
Mission Start Time:
800h
Employer(s):

EDF

Situation:

After some recognizable names were found in the ledger belonging to Cherno-Russian supporters, the President, for better or worse, has publicly announced the findings during an official TV and Radio broadcast across Esseker and some surrounding areas.

The good news is that his plan worked in swaying some who were on the fence to support a continued independent Esseker.

The bad news is it's also raised tensions on the outskirts of the main city area, resulting in increased patrols, and increased propaganda and "aid" from Cherno-Russian occupiers trying to win back some bad press. Furthermore, although we gained some support, others thought the decision rash and foolish, and have further distanced themselves from supporting the current President.

So in conclusion, this announcement has made it easier for us to see who's on what side of this current civil skirmish, just not exactly in a way that's really beneficial.

Mission:

Today's mission involves extracting 2 former Cherno-Russian Supporters. These two men were former Esseker Defense who were captured in the previous conflict, who were spared due to their abilities and willingness to cooperate. We have been told in short; After hearing of the supposed ledger existence on the radio, these two former Esseker Defense soldiers began asking some questions around their camp, arguments, then a brawl, and one dead Cherno-Russian officer later, these guys want amnesty in exchange for information.

The last message we received gave us their planned final location, and when they plan to get there. It also states that they only have enough supplies to last a few days, a week max, and very little ammo (2 magazines), and one working gun.

They risked a lot in getting this last message to us, and there's no doubt they have been tracked to some degree.

Objectives:

- Find the 2 Former Esseker Defense Soldiers and bring them to the FOB
- Avoid enemy patrols and contact

Sub-Contract - The Woodsman v2

Contract Type:
Sub Contract
Date:
Thursday, June 23, 2016 - 19:00
Mission Start Time:
2000h
Employer(s):

EDF

Situation

Since the failed attempt to extract two former Cherno-Russian Supporters during last Saturday's contract, the Cherno-Russian supporters have increased their efforts to find and eliminate the last defector. Theseus has been tasked to get him out of the area unharmed and ASAP.

The only information we can rely on was the receiving of their intended final location from Saturday. The previous contract can be viewed here.

We'll have to act fast if we want to find him before the rebels do.

Objectives

  • Find the last Cherno-Russian defector and bring him back to the FOB.
  • Avoid enemy contact as much as possible.

Operations Contract - Rook

Contract Type:
Contract
Date:
Saturday, June 25, 2016 - 14:00
Mission Start Time:
430h
Employer(s):

EDF

Situation :

The former Cherno-Russian we brought back, gave us a full run down of current operations as he remembers, as well giving us updated intel on enemy compositions in certain areas. We have corroborated this with recon by Esseker Defense Forces and it seems to hold up. Information has been updated to all GPS units, and should give us a better understanding of what we are up against.

Unfortunately, due to the time spent tracking this guy down, we lost precious time, as we have just found out an offensive push is being made into the areas of Gulash and Lug. Esseker Defense are in control of the area, but their forces will not be able to sustain a full push by Cherno-Russian forces. Reinforcements have been sent from the north to assist, however, we are unsure if they'll be able to make it in time due to poor weather and increased ambushes on main roads.

Mission :

Theseus is being tasked to assist in the defense efforts at Lug and Gulash if possible. Lug is well fortified with barricades and walls, as well as being occupied with a good garrison of Esseker Defense. Gulash is at risk of being lost, and although it would be great to hold it, it's importance has been deemed low priority, despite civilians living in the area.

Former ruins and buildings surrounding Lug may provide vantage points for overwatch or marksman positions, as well as forward recon areas.

Additional Intel :

Intel suggests at least 4 full squads as well as motorized support moving out from Neptune Resort.

Esseker Defense units located in the south east have warned against traveling any where near the main city of Esseker due to increased patrols by ground and air.

Weather sucks.

Situation :

The acting president is calling on all members of the Esseker Defense Front to mobilize and recapture Gulash. In order to achieve this, EDF will need to liberate and gain control of the Neptune Resort area. The nights have been long and getting sleep is even more difficult due to the constant mortar threat originating near that area. Many civilians on our side of the river, report of missing persons and lost loved ones during the nights as well.

Mission :

Our part of the mission is to cross the river into Neptune Resort area, neutralize any threats and find and destroy the mortar position and any possible AA. Once the heavy emplacements have been cleared, we are to radio EDF command, and maintain a defensive position until further orders.

Additional Intel :

We will not be operating alone on this, we will have support from the following units available in the area.

Contract Type:

Date:
Saturday, July 16, 2016 - 14:00
Mission Start Time:
453h
Employer(s):

EDF

Situation :

A UN helicopter has been shot down over Esseker. NATO has informed us that the helicopter was carrying a UN diplomat who was destined to meet with the Esseker President later this week.

NATO's last communication with the UN helicopter was when it sent out a distress signal after it began to take fire.

There have been a few transmission since however these have had interference so we don't know whether it's a transmission from the wreckage of the helicopter or from any survivors of the crash.

Mission :

Our mission is to enter the city of Esseker, locate the downed helicopter and it's crew and rescue any survivors before destroying the wreckage to prevent the rebels from gaining access to NATO equipment.

Additional Intel :

EDF forces have been dispatched from further North to assist in the extraction of the survivors.

Esseker Defense Forces participating in this Mission
  • 109th Infantry - 2 x Light Infantry Squads

Date:
Saturday, July 23, 2016 - 14:00
Mission Start Time:
1200h
Employer(s):

EDF

Situation:

As the Esseker Defense Forces keep gaining more ground in the region, some local militias and mercenaries making up part of the Cherno-Russian Group are trying to negotiate an exit to the conflict. Esseker intelligence indicates that many of the smaller forces along the river have given up their posts and retreated deep south or disbanded. While normally a retreat would be a cause of celebration, in this instance is a cause for concern. With the bulk of their northern defenses shattered, the Cherno-Russian Group is sending a more organized and well prepared force in it's place. It is suspected that they are pure Cherno-Russian military.

As a bit of good news for once, we have recently been contacted by one of the fringe mercenary groups who is allegedly stranded in the middle of the conflict with no more logistical support from the Cherno-Russians. Feeling abandoned, and on the losing side of a pointless conflict, they looked to negotiate a deal. In exchange for the release of one of their captains we captured during a previous engagement, as well as securing of arms, they will agree to join the Esseker Defense movement until peace has been negotiated or won.

During a private meeting with Esseker Command, a vote was cast to decide if the deal would be accepted, and was unanimously voted to accept. Having accepted this deal, Esseker Command has put us in charge of securing the arms and bringing them to the mercenary group. Recon and aerial observations have found 4 possible locations that we may be able to secure enough arms and equipment from.

Mission:

Primary Objective - Secure Arms Trucks for Delivery
The trucks that were spotted have been making frequent stops at known encampments and patrol areas, dropping off crates and supplies on a fairly regular schedule. On weekends the trucks are stored away at the marked locations in the mission area detailed below. There's been a few squads spotted making the rounds between the truck drop off locations, checking up on them, it is suspected the commander may be important in gaining access to the trucks. See Additional Information below for most recent photo on file.

Additional Information:

We will be operating mostly alone in this operation, a friendly support helicopter will be in operation on the northern side of the river. The presence of friendly recon teams may be present close to the river areas. Identified by green digital uniforms and camo patterns.
