Situation

Malden has been dark for last 2 weeks with no communication been sent or received to the island. Until a small naval vessel contacted NATO forces informing them that the Island had been overtaken by a mixture of paramilitary insurgents and civilian revolutionaries. The black out of communications has been identified by the 13 Radio towers present on the island being hijacked to produce a Multi-Dimensional Refraction Phenomenon.

Theseus has been deployed on the island at the North Eastern Airport ( 080 | 097) to restore communications by taking the radio towers computer terminals then destroying the towers themselves. NATO have diverted communication satellites to re-establish comms on the island as the towers are destroyed. This means radio communications will improve the more Towers that are destroyed.

To destroy the towers it will take (assuming explosives are set at tower ladders): - 1x Demolition Assembly Charge - 3x Demolition Blocks - AT of any kind will not destroy the towers.

Enemy Composition
  • Both enemy forces are numerous in size but have little to no body armour and have low grade weaponry. The paramilitary may have access to stolen Malden military equipment including 50.Cals, LMG Jeeps, ZU-23s and AT Launchers.
  • Its expected they will not fight conventionally and may utilise mines where they have little fighting presences.

After action report: 

Theseus was deployed to Malden to help NATO restore communications on the Island being jammed by Malden Revolutionaries. Having no radio comms, Theseus was able to maneuver and roll out their plan recovering 5 data terminals and demolishing 5 radio towers allowing NATO to re-position satellites to reestablish radio comms on the ground. Through this though, technical errors were discovered but sorted out near the end.

As we began to run out of time, a lone survivor from our CAS support was able to contact Actual via satellite phone relaying CAS had crashed and give his approximate coordinates allowing an airborne recovery team to mobilize onto his position in enemy territory to exfil him back to base. Theseus will continue to uphold their contract to NATO on to next week.
