03 - Ring of Fire

Situation

The situation in Panthera is becoming dire. The PLA has encircled the villa and demanded that the Client and Theseus Contractors surrender immediately to the PLA. The PLA has threatened to begin shelling the villa at 8:15am local time if there is no surrender. PLA forces have been engaging Theseus Contractors throughout the night and into the morning.

The client needs to retrieve the data from Site Two by 9am local time though it is likely that PLA forces are either in the area or already occupying Site Two. There will be no possible way to make it to the airport with any more equipment given the challenges encountered in the last move so the Client has abandoned that plan.

Once the data has been retrieved, Theseus can attempt to return to the villa and fortify that position or they can fortify another position. Either way the client will need to contact his air extraction for an updated pick up location.

Restrictions

This will be an extended deployment covering several days. There will be NO resupply available given the current situation in the country.

The Government of Panthera placed the following restrictions on Theseus Contractors to be permitted to operate in the country in fulfillment of the Close Protection Detail:

• Only 5.56mm caliber or lower for firearms
• No LMG/MMG/HMG's permitted
• No rockets/missiles/launchers permitted
• No lethal explosives permitted
• No drones permitted
• PMC/Civilian Clothing permitted (No military fatigues/bdu's)
• No face coverings permitted
• Plate Carriers/Helmets permitted

Additionally the client has placed the following conditions on the Contract.

• As a military veteran, the client is familiar with and proficient in NATO and Russian small arms platforms. At the client’s discretion he will arm himself with his own firearms at any point he deems necessary.
• At the client’s discretion, he will equip himself with his own body armor at any point he deems necessary.

Rules of engagement

Theseus is now weapons free against PLA but is still under a Return Fire Only order against local police and armed civilians.

Intelligence

The client will be unable to provide money for bribes as PLA soldiers robbed the stash when they went into the villa yesterday.
